It was founded in 2018 with the participation of Audi, Infineon, Samsung and TTTech Computertechnik to build a global, safe vehicle software platform for automated and autonomous driving. Its technological roots trace back to 1998, when TTTech Computertechnik was founded in Austria for fail-safe operational systems in the aerospace and transportation industry. The company offers software products such as the MotionWise modular safety middleware, software services, hardware solutions including the N4 network controller and automotive data loggers, and systems services. It reports 1100+ employees worldwide, 10+ locations in Europe and Asia, and 60+ OEMs and technology partners.

In 2018, it secured a USD 285 million investment round, achieving unicorn status. The company later became part of NXP and operates under the new name TrustMotion.
