Overview

Vistex is an American enterprise software and services company founded in 1999 by Sanjay Shah, headquartered in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The company builds AI-driven software and provides professional services that help businesses manage complex pricing, trade, royalties, and incentive programs — areas that traditional ERP systems often leave unaddressed. Vistex solutions are designed to give organizations visibility into where money is flowing across mission-critical processes, turning complexity into insight and action so that every dollar spent or earned drives growth rather than additional cost. The company serves a wide range of industries, including agriculture, automotive, consumer products, fashion, high tech, life sciences, manufacturing, media and entertainment, retail, and wholesale distribution. Its offerings span solution delivery, business advisory, data science, analytics, program services, global payments, customer support, and training. Vistex reports more than 2,000 employees, global offices, and over 1,000 customers. Leading brands such as GM, Barilla, and Bayer rely on Vistex software and services, and the company's customer list also includes Coca-Cola, GE, Dell, Siemens, Adobe, Yamaha, Sony, Nvidia, HP, and Cisco. Vistex's software is supported by AI capabilities that help stakeholders see the numbers, understand what works, and decide what to do next. The company's Program Services group performs claim and tax invoice audits, disburses funds globally, and executes payment transactions, while its Data Science team leverages AI and machine learning to rethink pricing strategies and uncover new avenues for profitability. Vistex maintains a Trust Center emphasizing security, compliance, and privacy-first practices for customer, partner, and vendor data. Vistex remains a private company. Its founder and CEO, Sanjay Shah, died in January 2024 in an accident during the company's 25th-anniversary celebrations. The company continues to operate and serve its global customer base.

History

Vistex was founded in 1999 by Sanjay Shah, who identified a gap in the ERP market: while enterprise resource planning systems were transforming organizations in many ways, there was still no solution for managing the complex pricing, trade, royalties, and incentive programs that many businesses rely on to optimize margin and profitability. As an R&D leader in the ERP world, Shah also knew that this type of solution was not on anyone else's roadmap, so he set out to build one. The company was established on the cusp of the tech industry's historic crash. Within two years, the first version of Vistex solutions was launched. It caught on quickly with customers and partners. Over the following decades, Vistex grew into a global provider of enterprise-class solutions, expanding its footprint across North and Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia, and Australia. The company built a portfolio of software and services covering pricing, trade, royalties, and incentives, supported by AI capabilities that help turn complexity into insight and action. By the early 2020s, Vistex reported more than 2,000 employees, global offices, and over 1,000 customers. Leading brands such as GM, Barilla, and Bayer relied on the company's software and services every day. Other customers included Coca-Cola, GE, Dell, Siemens, Adobe, Yamaha, Sony, Nvidia, HP, and Cisco. According to India Times reporting from early 2024, the company employed around 1,600 people and generated revenue of approximately US$300 million. In January 2024, founder and CEO Sanjay Shah died in an accident during the company's 25th-anniversary celebrations. The company continues to operate, providing enterprise-class solutions for customers around the world, and the charitable initiatives of the Sanjay Shah Foundation carry forward his legacy.
