VKTR

VKTR is an Indonesian electric mobility company. It traces its roots to PT Bakrie Steel Industries, founded in 2007 to distribute commercial vehicles and metal components. In March 2022 the company was transformed into PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk, focusing on electric vehicle trading and manufacturing (assembly and carrosserie of electric buses) and electric vehicle spare parts (OEM) trading. It listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 19 June 2023. Its product range includes electric buses, electric trucks and other electric equipment such as forklifts, loaders and dump trucks.

In 2019, the company focused on distributing commercial vehicle and heavy equipment components for mining contractor companies, palm oil plantations, logistics companies, and other organizations. In March 2022, the company was transformed into PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk, following the founding shareholders' approval, with a business focus on electric vehicles' trading and manufacturing (assembly and carrosserie of electric buses) and electric vehicle spare parts (OEM) trading. Through the transformation, VKTR focused its business on trading and manufacturing electric vehicles, spare parts and car accessories, while divesting noncore operations. The company listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange on 19 June 2023, becoming a public company. Throughout 2024, the company delivered its own complete knocked-down (CKD) electric buses and initiated orders for 20 units of 12-meter Transjakarta buses, with delivery targeted for the end of 2024. Beyond Transjakarta, VKTR secured purchase orders from government agencies and state-owned enterprises for garbage compactors, dump trucks and drumroll trucks.
