William Scott Contractors

William Scott Contractors, operating as William Scott Contracts, is a family-run business established in Port Elizabeth in 1948 by William Scott and his wife, Myra. The company provides painting, roofing, waterproofing, asbestos removal, and epoxy flooring services for commercial and industrial buildings, with branches in Port Elizabeth and East London, servicing areas spanning the Eastern and Southern Cape regions. With over 150 employees, it is one of the largest painting and roofing companies in the Eastern Cape.

William Scott Painters was established in Port Elizabeth in 1948, by William Scott and his wife, Myra. William and Myra settled in Port Elizabeth in 1937, after moving from Aberdeen, Scotland. After completing his schooling at the age of 14 in 1926, William Scott started an apprenticeship in the painting and decorating industry.
