Yocket's origins trace back to 2010, when three would-be engineers identified a gap: there was no place in the country where students could find reviews and guides to study abroad. They started a passion project, gathering college reviews, course information, cut-offs and counselling tips on a spreadsheet, and took on their first customer, a 12th-grade student, for 800 rupees. This venture became known as StupidSid. In 2010, their website received over 10,000 hits in a single day. Over the next two years, word spread among students and universities in Mumbai, and the founders decided to skip their placement offers and go full time with StupidSid. After attaining popularity in the study abroad community, they rebranded in 2015, combining the words 'Your' and 'Rocket' to create Yocket. Yocket has set its sights on becoming the most student-friendly study abroad platform for every aspirant who wants to study outside their country.
