yukainaru

yukainaru (ユカイナル合同会社, yukainaru LLC) was a Japanese talent agency based in Nerima, Tokyo, that managed voice actors and narrators. It was founded in 2020 by Nobuhiko Ida, a veteran talent manager who had previously worked at voice-acting agencies such as Sigma Seven, Crazy Box, and Atomic Monkey since 1994. The company's name reflects its stated purpose: to believe in and work toward a more enjoyable world. The agency represented a mix of exclusive members, associate members, and satellite members, and also maintained business partnerships with freelance narrators and other talent. In summer 2021, yukainaru launched its own original workshop program, "YY TOGETHER!", led by representative Ida, which offered workshops, online consultations, and voice sample consulting. The agency's activity was cut short when founder Nobuhiko Ida died on November 10, 2022, from an aortic dissection. On November 30, 2022, the company announced the termination of management contracts for all affiliated talent and subsequently dissolved. Many of its former members joined the newly established agency maximum in January 2023, while others moved to agencies such as Office Kaifu, Stay Luck, Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, and Remax, or continued as freelancers. Because of its brief existence and small roster, yukainaru is remembered mainly as the final venture of Ida and as a stepping stone for a number of voice actors who later found homes at other agencies.
