Overview
Dynasty (王朝) is the brand of 中法合营王朝葡萄酿酒有限公司 (Sino-French Joint Venture Dynasty Grape Winery Co., Ltd.), located at No. 29 Jinwei Highway, Beichen District, Tianjin, with registered capital of 40,749.9万元 and a founding date of March 25, 1980. The company describes itself as Tianjin's first Sino-foreign joint venture, with the then foreign partner being Rémy Martin Group Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. It states that it created the widely recognized "DYNASTY 王朝" brand in 1980 and that DYNASTY implies "王朝神州", a national brand with independent intellectual property rights. Its product range spans dry red wines, semi-dry white wines, Merlot and seven-year-aged series, and has been extended to sauce-flavored baijiu, yellow rice wine (chenpi wine), beer, blended liquor and grape-derived personal care products under the "王朝" brand.
History
According to the company's own brand page, Dynasty's corporate spirit traces back to the first generation of Dynasty people, who used unsellable grapes from the Zhongbao vineyard as raw material and brewed wine by hand in a few large vats, beginning a difficult exploration from agricultural planting toward industrial production. In 1980 the Sino-French joint-venture grape winery was established and produced China's first fully fermented semi-dry white wine, which the company says pioneered China's winemaking craft and advanced reform of the Chinese wine industry. The company states that it created the widely recognized "DYNASTY 王朝" brand in 1980, and that DYNASTY implies "王朝神州", a national brand with independent intellectual property rights that also corresponds to the Chinese allusion "自古葡萄出汉宫". On brand protection, the company says it began global registration and protection of the "DYNASTY" trademark in 1982, completed wine-category registration of the Chinese-character "王朝" trademark in 1985 and full-category registration in 1989, and was recognized as a China "Well-Known Trademark" by the former State Administration for Industry and Commerce in 2000. It reports holding 198 domestic trademarks and 28 overseas trademarks covering 54 countries and regions. The company says its products have won more than 400 awards at major international and domestic industry competitions, including 15 major international gold awards, and that it received the highest international quality award for winning the international gold award from the Brussels International Wine Competition for five consecutive years. It states that in 2025 the "王朝" brand was recognized with the "Jinmen Time-Honored Brand" title, and that "王朝" wine has appeared as a designated wine at the Davos Forum for 12 consecutive years and received the title of "Official Beverage Support Unit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Tianjin Summit".

Controversies
2013
Reported for inflating revenue, suspended for 6 years, shares plummet on resumption
In 2013, after an anonymous report alleged fictitious sales of more than RMB 500 million and inflated revenue and inventory, Dynasty Fine Wines was suspended; the suspension lasted more than six years. The company denied fabricating sales and only admitted that it did not recognize revenue upon delivery and had inadequate internal controls. On the first day of trading resumption in July 2019, its share price plunged 52%. In 2025, Hong Kong's Accounting and Financial Reporting Council found that PwC had not sufficiently verified delivery in its 2010 and 2011 audits of Dynasty Fine Wines and had wrongly issued unqualified opinions. PwC and two partners were fined a total of HK$1.6 million.
