LG expands partnership with NVIDIA in robotics and AI businesses
LG is expanding its cooperation with NVIDIA in robotics and other businesses, planning to release a next-generation humanoid robot in the first quarter of next year that uses NVIDIA Jetson Thor as its onboard computing platform and is developed based on the NVIDIA Isaac GR00T humanoid robot foundation model and NVIDIA Halos for Robotics safety system. The two companies are also advancing AI factory construction using NVIDIA's DSX AI factory architecture and LG's 'One IG' technologies, with plans for a demonstration project based on NVIDIA Vera Rubin in the first half of 2027 and an 80-megawatt LG AI factory in South Korea's South Chungcheong Province in the first half of 2028.
