History
Goodstart Early Learning was initiated in 2009 by a consortium of leading community sector organisations — The Benevolent Society, Mission Australia, the Brotherhood of St Laurence and Social Ventures Australia — who came together to initiate the formation of Goodstart. Its four founding charities saw the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children through access to high-quality early learning. The organisation states that since the very beginning it has been driven by a strong sense of purpose and a vision to give all Australia's children the best possible start in life. It operates more than 660 early learning centres and describes itself as a not-for-profit at the heart of hundreds of communities all over Australia.
